Northwind 3-D Habitat Maps
The base map of our 3-D habitat maps is similar to our grouse habitat maps but displayed in a 3-D format with additional habitat included that will help hunters locate habitat geared toward other game such as deer, turkey, trapping, bear, bobcat etc. The enhanced detail of these 3-D maps readily identifies the cedar, oak, and aspen types and their proximity along with the natural funnels to help you zero in where to scout and ultimately where to hunt.
Habitat shown on each Map
Aspen 2-10 years of age acreage and age of the cut shown on each aspen shape on the map, Tag Alder, Tamarack, Cedar, Lowland Grass, Upland Brush, Wildlife Openings, Balsam Fir, Hemlock, Fir Spruce, Swamp Conifer,...each habitat type is color coded & labeled
(Primary species and Secondary species shown in the following timber type stands) Oak, Swamp Hardwoods, Bottomlands Hardwoods, Black Spruce. All stands are color coded and labeled for ease of use.
Roads are labeled and color coded according to use. Additional trails have been added to these maps that are not found only any other Topo maps.
The benefit of a 3-D topo map is that game funnels can be more readily identified
Features common to all 3-D Habitat Maps:
Sheet size is 13” x19”, printed on a specialized medium that is waterproof, tear and puncture resistant. Map sets are sold coil bound with a heavy stock front cover and back coveror or“loose leaf’ in a water proof case. Included with the purchase is a downloadable GPX file of the Aspen clear cuts that we email to you after the maps are sent prioirty mail.
The same maps, level of detail, are also available on a pre-formatted microSD Card that replaces the base map for specific Garmin handheld units with custom map capability. For more information click on microSD cards.
