Sample Grouse Habitat Map
| Each book is coil bound and the several maps found in each book are printed on heavy 8 1/2 x 11 card stock. One or more of the maps in the front of the book are overview maps that show the location of the subsequent habitat maps further into the book. The map scales vary from 1"= 3 miles to 1"=2000'. Each clear cut is marked with an "X" and is labeled with a reference to a waypoints listing at the back of the book that lists all the clear cuts and their GPS coordinates. In many of the Midwest books the listing also provides the acreage and the year the clear cut was harvested. On each of the maps there are several "call-outs" that identify road/trails and primary access routes to the clear cuts. |
